ABOUT THE AUTHOR

G. T. Los Baños teaches English and Creative Writing in the University of the Philippines Diliman, specializing in fiction for young adults and creative nonfiction. Aside from writing stories for young readers, he composes creative nonfiction that focuses on animals and nature. He is a former deputy director of the UP Press. His first novel for young adults, Playing It Safe, was produced by Cacho Publishing House in 2007. He also coedited with Narita Manuel Gonzales an anthology of essays titled Diliman: Home and Campus published by the UP Press in 2010.

The author and his wife played recreational football after college and were introduced to one another on a football field.

Extra Time was his submission to the 58th UP National Writers Workshop held in 2019.
