ABOUT THE BOOK
Twelve stories. Twelve characters. Twelve lives entwined by the converse themes of discovery and loss.
In Found: Stories, dreams provide a welcome respite from heartbreak. The shedding of inhibitions does not always follow the stripping of clothes. Happiness is ephemeral—like footprints easily washed away by the ebb and flow of tide on the shore. Unsettling realizations always come in the hours when one is half-dreaming and half-awake.
While on the surface it may be still and deceptively calm, Found: Stories plumbs the depths of human emotion at different stages of life, brings it to the surface—to hold it to the light and examine it. The story collection dissects loss and studies what constitutes the joy in recovery and, perhaps, even in making new discoveries and, ultimately, new connections.
