ABOUT THE AUTHOR
Rolando A. Danao is Professor Emeritus at the School of Economics, University of the Philippines (UP). Prior to joining the School of Economics, he served as a faculty member in the UP Department of Mathematics. He earned his PhD in Mathematics from the University of California, Berkeley, and pursued postdoctoral research at the University of Pennsylvania. His scholarly interests span optimization, mathematical programming, econometric modeling, and mathematical economics.
